Little Trinkets
Fast, online shopping
For most of our merchandise shopping, and some food, Amazon almost-always has your size and color; and the prices are usually better than other big box stores like Walmart if you buy enough to warrant an Amazon Prime subscription otherwise shipping will kill you financially.
Pants with secret, zippered pocket
Keeping credentials safe is so critical. I have no advice for keeping purses safe, but a type of pants I liked started putting a secret, zippered front pocket behind the normal front pocket. The pairs I bought a few months ago were touted as plastic rules, but the link from my order history shows 80% cotton, so I can't vouch it'll still have that pocket. Vest with battery-powered heaters
So this was not my first or even second choice. There was one with more heating coils, but it was almost twice the price. And several others looked better, but they didn't have them in small.
I should have read the instructions better; I could've read I had to long press on the buttons to turn it on. I spent too many minutes single clicking, and once to recharge the battery. And I also could have learned there are two buttons, not two places, to turn it on and cycle through the three temperature settings.
You'll want to wear this up against a t-shirt. Wear the vest over a light hoodie and not enough heat gets through. And I never tried it, I imagine even low would be too hot against the bare skin.
The back gets too hot, and I had to keep the setting for it to medium; or low even to conserve battery usage. The front, however, does not fit snuggly, so the only reason the high temperature setting will do is that I wear a heavy, close-fitting hoodie that squishes the front of the vest, making it press against my stomach.
It doesn't have heating coils in the chest like some other brands, more expensive ones, but that also have some heating coils in the bicep area. Hoops running down the arm would be nice, but would use more power.
A problem with these vests and pants is that the heating wires are spaced too far apart and wind can penetrate the skin between the heating wires. But longer heating wires mean more power consumption. So, the next generation of heated clothing will have to wait for a significant improvement in battery mA/h output, weight, size and in the amount of heat given off during use.
Legs crossed for warmth

The extremities are the hardest hit by the chilly air that slams us from the north.
This is how to retain some of your legs' warmth. Twist them so they're pressed together, and part of your legs are warm at least. Of course, you'll want something to lean against if it's windy, or you're old or otherwise unable to twist your legs up freestanding. But check out my review of heated long johns next up if the temperatures dip.
